Automation Champions Celebrated: Winners of Automation Days Asia 2022 Awards Announced
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, November 21, 2022 – Cybiant Asia announced the first-ever Automation Days Asia Awards on November 16, 2022 during the closing ceremony of its second Automation Days Asia 2022 virtual conference to celebrate the year’s winners.
Honouring the best products, solutions, individuals, and companies that have contributed and adopted automation in achieving positive growth towards Asia’s adoption of digital technology, Cybiant Asia received an astounding nomination entry from around the world competing in the categories of Technology Innovation of The Year, Thought Leader of The Year, Project of The Year and Rising Star of The Year.
The ceremony kicked off with Jan -Willem Middelburg, Managing Director of Cybiant Asia introducing the panel jury for this year’s awards. The panel include, Mr Eric Nguyen Service Automation Framework Alliance Ambassador and Senior Manager from Synergy Group based in Australia and Mr Vipul Tiwari Process Optimization Developer from Amazon Web Services based in India. Both are experts and industry leaders that has contributed to the industry at large in digital adoption and has judged numerous hackathons and technology awards throughout the years. Middelburg’s presentation was followed by the announcement of award recipients was revealed.
The jury report for the Thought Leader of The Year award winner, Mr Anders Jensen quoted that:
Mr. Jensen has made automation knowledge and best practices available to thousands of people.
His clear explanatory videos make automation accessible to everyone and promote automation adoption. He demonstrates clear thought leadership, mastering different technologies and automation best practices.
For this reason, Mr. Jensen scores the most points on the quality criteria that the jury has assessed
Jensen, who has more than 30k followers on his automation YouTube channel, dialled in LIVE from Denmark to accept the award. In his speech, Jensen was grateful and humbled by the recognition. He thanked his wife and partner Stine Hoiberg Rasmussen and the RPA community for the continued support and acknowledgement of making automation education free and accessible to those who are interested to learn.

Winner of Thought Leader of the Year: Anders Jensen
The jury report for the Project of The Year award winner, akaBot for the project with TP Bank quoted that:
Starting the collaboration in mid-year 2020, akaBot has deployed its RPA platform to help TPBank, one of top 10 Vietnam reputable bank, in optimizing operations and improving customer satisfaction. akaBot provided TPBank with a comprehensive solution package in which RPA core technology integrates with various advanced technologies, including AI, OCR, chatbot, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, etc.
After six months of implementation, akaBot has automated 75 workflows for TPBank with some repetitive and tedious tasks including account opening and closing, fund transfer, cash withdrawal and so on.
akaBot, in this project has shown clear automation leadership with tangible outcomes and a clear return on investment. For this reason, the Jury has awarded them the Project of the Year Award.
Mr Tran Quang Tin Head of Global Business Development from akaBot based in Vietnam thanked the jury and all its clients for continuing their support in the growth of akaBot and this win solidifies akaBot commitment and also signifies akaBot as a contender in the RPA solutions market which will further push the company to improve their products and services.

Winner of Project of the Year: akaBot – TP Bank project
The jury report for the Technology Innovation of The Year award winner, WIZ.AI quoted that:
WIZ.AI incorporates AI techniques, such as pauses, intent recognition, and varying pitch and tone to interact with the customer in a natural human-like manner. WIZ.AI machines are powered by natural language processing (NLU), automatic speech recognition (ASR), and several other mechanisms that make the hyper-realism possible, enabling the Talkbots to understand and speak different ASEAN languages including English, Malay, Mandarin, Tagalog, Thai, Vietnamese and Bahasa Indonesia, as well as Singlish and other informal forms like Taglish.
WIZ.AI is recognised by the Jury for their innovative solution, making call-robots more accessible and standardized. The Jury has special admiration for the wide range of languages that WIZ.AI supports, making the solution applicable across SEA. The NLP required for this must be complex.
Mr Allan Ong, Head of Sales Wiz Ai based in Singapore expressed his gratitude and added that they have successfully implemented the technology not only in the banking industry but also insurance, fintech, telcos as well as e-commerce around Asia and progressively expanding to Latin America region.

The jury report for the Rising Star of The Year award winner, Cyclone Robotics quoted that:
Cyclone Robotics is a fast-growing provider of RPA software and solutions in China. Cyclone RPA powered by cutting-edge technologies like AI, NLP etc., is a proprietary product independently developed by Cyclone Robotics, which aims to automate customers specific business processes.
Cyclone Robotics is gaining rapid popularity in China. Their traction has recently been picked by Gartner, Forrester and Everest Group, and Cyclone is receiving significant attention. The Jury recognises the difficulty to enter this market, and has selected Cyclone as the Rising Star of the Year.
Cyclone Robotics couldn’t be at the event to accept their award and sent in their message from Vincent Gao, the Founder and CEO of Cyclone Robotics.
“We are committed to continue pushing the boundaries of RPA as an industry leader with a customer-first mindset and numerous use cases of various industries. At the end of the ceremony, Jan Willem Middelburg officially closed the Automation Days Asia 2022 virtual conference which boasts 500+ international registrations, 25 sessions by 22 though leaders and experts across 3 tracks. Middelburg also expressed special appreciation to partners for making the event successful including Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) Sdn Bhd, APMG International, UiPath, IBM, BMC Software, SmartRPA, Project Management Institute (UAE Chapter), TIQRI, Matrix Invent (MSC) Sdn Bhd, Dedoco and Cloud Fission. Middelburg also welcomed participation for Automation Days Asia 2023 which will also be staged virtually in November.
