Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, November 23, 2023 — Automation Days Asia, Asia’s largest virtual conference focusing on the latest advancements in enterprise automation and intelligent technologies, successfully concluded its third edition on November 21 and 22, 2023. Organized by Cybiant and led by Jan-Willem Middelburg, Managing Director of Cybiant and author of Service Automation Framework, the event witnessed a remarkable turnout with 600+ attendees participating from across Asia.

The conference, held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM GMT+8, featured 29 distinguished speakers from around the globe, delivering insightful sessions across two tracks. Co-organized by the Service Automation Framework Alliance and supported by APMG International, Automation Days Asia 2023 brought together industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts to explore and discuss the latest trends and innovations in enterprise automation, RPA and AI.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of the winners of the Automation Days Asia 2023 Awards during the closing ceremony, recognizing outstanding achievements in the automation landscape.

Automation Technology Innovation of the Year was awarded to Symphony Summit AI. The judges summarised that Symphony Summit AI clinched the Technology Innovation of the Year award for its SymphonyAI Summit Service Automation. The solution’s agentless architecture, seamless integration capabilities, and support for various scripting languages were key factors contributing to its success. The judges commended its comprehensive feature set, highlighting its ability to revolutionize service processes and deliver tangible business value.

During the ceremony, Mr. Vijaya Shaker, CTO of SymphonyAI Summit, expressed gratitude for the award, acknowledging the dedicated efforts of the Symphony Summit AI team in pushing the boundaries of innovation in service automation.

The Automation Project of the Year award went to Telekom Malaysia Berhad where the judges reported that Telekom Malaysia Berhad received the Project of the Year award for its Proactive CTT automation project, which demonstrated exceptional outcomes in customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial savings. The project significantly reduced customer interaction effort and earned two Customer Experience awards, emphasizing its high standards and significant contributions to customer experience.

Ts Soo Chern Tien, Asst. General Manager, RPA Business Analysis & Solutioning at Telekom Malaysia Berhad, conveyed the team’s appreciation for the recognition. In a heartfelt statement, he expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts that led to the success of the Proactive CTT automation project.

Last but not least the 2023 Thought Leader of the Year was awarded to Mr. Ian Barkin. The judges opined that Mr. Ian Barkin was honored with the Thought Leader of the Year award for his multifaceted contributions to the intelligent automation landscape. His commitment to education, innovation, and mentorship, as well as his unique insights and thought leadership, set him apart.

During the ceremony, Mr. Ian Barkin, dialing in from the USA, graciously accepted the Thought Leader of the Year award. He extended his thanks to the intelligent automation community for their collaborative efforts and emphasized the importance of shared knowledge in driving innovation in the industry.
